ASQ Training Institute Recap - Ages and Stages
So far, in 2019 we’ve held one of our ASQ® Training of Trainers Institutes! Read below for a quick recap of this wonderful training opportunity!
April Training Institute in Columbus, Ohio
Institute basics
This Institute took place April 1–3 in Columbus, Ohio. The seminar was led by ASQ trainers, Jane Farrell, M.S, and LaWanda Potter, M.S. There were 56 attendees at this training, including many from Ohio but also from as far as British Columbia, Canada.

ASQ Online learning session
Attendees had the option of adding a fourth day of hands-on, interactive ASQ® Online training. Led by experienced and engaging Implementation Manager, Monica Belle, attendees learned how to effectively and efficiently use ASQ Online. This session was attended by current ASQ Online users, including administrators and providers, as well as ASQ users considering implementing ASQ Online.

Take your ASQ knowledge to the next level with this in-depth, step-by-step seminar—everything you need to know for instructing your colleagues in using ASQ®-3
and ASQ®:SE-2 to screen infants and young children. This thorough 3-day seminar shows you how to
- implement ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2 effectively
- score questionnaires and interpret results
- discuss results sensitively with families
- understand the referral process
- work with families from diverse cultural backgrounds
- teach others within your organization how to successfully use ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2
While at the Institute, you’ll receive instruction from ASQ experts, practice forms, case studies, and a binder with handouts to be used for conducting trainings within your organization. Upon your successful completion of the Institute, a certificate of attendance and a USB flash drive of training materials will be provided to you.
