Pediatricians and other health care providers play a critical role in the early identification of children with delays. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends developmental screening at 9-, 18-, and 30-month well-child visits and social-emotional screening at regular intervals. Social-emotional screening is especially important for supporting school readiness of young children.

With Utah’s new statewide initiative, Celebrate the Stages!, health care practices can get access to ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2 by joining the statewide ASQ Online account. Providers will be able to share a link for parents to complete questionnaires electronically ahead of well-child visits. Even if providers aren’t screening children directly, they can access the results of ASQ screenings conducted by other professionals by joining the initiative.

All health care providers in Utah are invited to join the state initiative and receive free access to ASQ Online. Contact Early Childhood Utah at [jfloyd@utah.gov](mailto:jfloyd@utah.gov "null") to learn more.
