The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends developmental screening at 9-, 18-, and 30-month well-child visits and social-emotional screening at regular intervals. Social-emotional screening is especially important for supporting school readiness of young children. With Utah’s new statewide initiative, Celebrate the Stages!, health care practices can get access to ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2 by joining the statewide ASQ Online account. Providers will be able to share a link for parents to complete questionnaires electronically ahead of well-child visits. Even if providers aren’t screening children directly, they can access the results of ASQ screenings conducted by other professionals by joining the initiative.
